Vocational
Training in Skill Development – Computer Literacy program @ CLC-Aziznagar.
Awarding
of Course Completion Certificates – on
23 August, 2021.
Due to COVID all the colleges and schools are closed and online
learning and coaching has been happening from April 2020 to till date.
Many students who passed out grade -10 and sitting at home and
those who have joined intermediate courses and are attending online classes and
members from village who were sitting idle both male and female after completing
grade 10th registered for the Computer Course in the first
week month of June 2021. We started the course from June 14 2021.
The
Computer Learning Centre , set up by the KMRF in collaboration with
Sreenidhi International School in 2014 is engaging the village
community from Aziznagar and surrounding villages who are unemployed and
sitting at home both male & female and keen to learn computer skills.
They are getting trained for basic computer skills and handling certain modules
like Word, Excel & PowerPoint. They also learn to handle internet and
email. They take this computer course for 40 days. They are being tested
for the skills and on what they learnt. The foundation issues the Course
Certificate after completion of the course.
In
this batch we had 15 students who have completed grade 10 and intermediate
students and took the course training for 2- months. They were trained in 2-batches
maintaining the social distance with 8 & 7 members in each batch. They
attended the regular theory classes and practice sessions coached by Mr.
Anjaneyulu & Ms. Yamini from KMRF.
We had the honour of having Ms. Hiran, Director Marketting and
from the management and Mr. Malcolm Nicolson, HoS Sreenidhi International School on this
occasion of certificates awarding ceremony that was held on 23rd
August, 2021 at the Computer Learning Centre, Aziznagar who kindly consented to
give away the certificates to the participants.
At the valedictory
function the students expressed their gratitude and thanks to the foundation
and the instructors who trained them. They also shared about all what they
learned during the course and how it would benefit them later in life, be it
for higher education or for employment.
It was heartening to know out of 15 students 10 of them have not
worked on the computer before and it was the first time here in this CLC,
Aziznagar they were able to handle the computer independently after getting
trained.
Administrator, KMRF Mrs. Vasantha Srinivasan welcomed the guests
of honour and spoke about the functioning of CLC from the starting time of
February 2014 and how it has been focusing on providing computer education to
the students and village community in Aziznagar and surrounding villages. She
appreciated the students for their efforts & keen interest in attending the
course regularly in spite of COVID fear amidst strictly following the rules of
wearing masks and maintaining the social distancing while learning at the
centre and successfully completing the course.
She thanked Mr. Anjaneyulu & Ms. Yamini for their patience
in helping the students managing the power shortage in the centre and working
under shift system.
Ms. Hiran & Mr. Malcolm also addressed to the students on
the importance of computer education and how one needs to be in touch with
latest updates all the time.
All
the participants were given a pack of snacks at the end of the program. They
